Thanks - so frustrated I couldn't get my Gemini remote to work after replacing the batteries. Your solution worked perfectly with my Toshiba TV. One comment - you must be quick to press the enter button after the TV goes into standby. It didn't work the first twice I tried then realised I needed to be quicker pressing the enter button. Works perfectly - thanks for the advice

You sir, have saved my bacon! That worked a treat for my Matsui TV. Had to input a Grundig code after all the Matsui ones failed, but I'm a happy chappy. Thank you! :D

Also there's an issue with emails that are sent to 'undisclosed recipients' they cause files with no content to be generated. I'm really not that familiar with applescript, it annoys me, and I don't really have the time to figure this out right now.

I'll come back to it when I've got time.

I tried to follow these directions for the Gemini 4-in-1 remote control to no avail. However, miraculously, I managed to actually find the instruction leaflet hiding in an old box! The following instructions are quoted verbatim from the horse's mouth:

* Direct code entry:

1) Press and hold the CODE SEARCH button until the red indicator stays on, then release the CODE SEARCH button.
2) Press and release the desired mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
3) Enter the 4 digit code from the code tables *[SEE PDF DOWNLOAD AT TOP OF PAGE]*. Note: after a valid code entry, the red indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the red indicator flashes.
4) With your device on, press CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. Note: If some buttons do not operate your equipment, try one of the other codes for your brand.

* Code Search:

If your product does not respond after you have tried all the codes for your brand, or if your brand is not listed, try searching for your code by following these steps.

1) Manually turn on the device (TV, VCR, etc.) to be controlled.
2) Press and hold the CODE SEARCH button until the red indicator stays on, then release the CODE SEARCH button.
3) Press and quickly release the desired mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks off once.
4) Press the CHANNEL UP button repeatedly (up to 300 times) until the device to be controlled changes channel. The red indicator blinks off with each button press. If you accidentally overshoot the code required, press the CHANNEL DOWN button to backtrack through the library until the device changes channel. Pressing CHANNEL UP changes direction to forward again.
5) Press and release MUTE to install the code.

Note: If the device does not have a CHANNEL UP button, use PLAY (VCR only) or POWER instead. Code Search starts from the currently stored 4 digit number under that mode.

---

I hope this helps somebody!

I've noticed that Mail.app appears to only run rules for messages delivered to the inbox of IMAP accounts. I use server side sieve scripts to organise my mail into sub mailboxes and Mail.app doesn't apply this rule to those messages... bummer!

If anybody knows of a way of getting Mail.app to apply rules to new mail the server has organised I'd love to hear from you.
